After an intense period of research (also known as watching the world burn quietly while doing some coursework), I’ve returned with notes.
I know, I know. Accountability matters. Reliability too. And I dropped the ball on both for a while over here.
Sometimes you have to stop, reassess, and make sure you’re not leaving the important stuff to chance. While I was MIA here on Substack, life got loud, in the best way:
Apart from multiple mentees’ reaching new heights in new jobs, new interview processes and many more positive news I’m happy to have been a small contributing part to, I also coached 120 girls in Product Management over two three-hour sessions.
At work: I kicked off another innovation cohort at work with over 100 participants, still ongoing until late June, and I also led 5 workshops on future GenAI solutions. They’re learning the ins and outs of being a corporate entrepreneur, from ideation to value finding to pitching! Same as you guys here!
I went back to school… and it feels that I’m right at home: I did a 3-day Innovation Management course which inspired me for so many posts for this newsletter, I attended Aidan McCullen’s (
) Reinvention Summit in Dublin, and I’m now doing a Strategic Innovation Online Program with Oxford! A lot of learning, and a lot of interesting things to think about!
Basically, I was here, there, and everywhere… and seeing as I’m not omniscient (or divine), something had to give…
Have I ever told you about the glass and plastic balls analogy? Not that well explained, apart from a small example here! So that’s our upcoming post :)
So for today, I bring you 3 articles I enjoyed reading lately, one of them a webinar I enjoyed attending (and you can watch yourself) and give you a sneak peak of what’s coming:
Why Utah Farmers Are Struggling With Mental Health — ProPublica: a problem I first came to know through India’s “annadatas” (providers of food; farmers in what I’m discussing) - 120.000 committed suicide in India in the last ten years. Turns out, this is happening worldwide. I took part in a Hackathon and our challenge was related to it. While sad, it was an interesting project to delve into: finding ways to empower farmers through technology & AI.
And this video (I first read the transcript, so I count this as an article too)
Just before I went away, I had a lovely interaction with
about North Stars.Soon after, I had my own north star to think about :)
In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more (and how it’s connected to corporate entrepreneurship!) What I can say is: this will be change that makes it easier to explain & inspire you to disrupt old ways of working and reinvent & approach work with new understanding!
I’m always up for learning, if you want: reply to this e-mail with one thing you learned in the past few months. Can be a small fact, a factoid, or something entirely different!
Hope to see you around here soon!
Cheers,
Francisca
As always. Thanks to Share your thoughs
